Course Description

This course introduces students to basic horticultural skills and the primary industry sector in NZ. Major topics include: Soil science – soil type varieties and their effect on soil properties; Plant Husbandry – plant cultivation and propagation, protection and training, maintenance of plant health; and Amenity horticulture – landscape plans and design. This course is only available to students following the Year 11JC course.
