Students will participate in a variety of physical activities including racquet sports and large and small ball sports. Students will devise offensive and/ or defensive strategies and then demonstrate them across a variety of sporting contexts. Sporting contexts are likely to include a combination of; Pickleball, Badminton, Tennis, International Team Handball, Dodgeball, Tapu ae, Football/ Futsal, Ultimate Frisbee, and Basketball.
Term 1
Teach the difference between skills, tactics and strategies and meaning of ihi, wehi and wana. Demonstrate identified strategies within Tennis, Pickleball and Badminton
Term 2
Complete assessment tasks associated with Achievement Standard 92016.
Term 3
Apply strategies within Invasion games such as International Team Handball, Dodgeball, Tapu ae, Football/ Futsal, Ultimate Frisbee, and Basketball. Complete any required re-assessment.
Assessment is practical and requires consistent and purposeful application of identified strategies with a specified movement context.
