Teacher in Charge: Mr M. Plant
Students who plan to do Calculus or Statistics in Year 13 should not take this course. This course contains a minimal amount of algebra content and does not adequately prepare students for Year 13 Maths. However, it does provide students with the opportunity to get Level 2 credits in a highly valued subject. It consists of 7 achievement standards worth a total of 17 credits. The majority of standards are internally assessed, with one external standard – ‘Apply probability methods’, worth 4 credits, which will be assessed externally in an end of year examination. All other standards will be assessed in class immediately on completion of the unit of work.
A fee of $15 is charged for workbooks.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
