Course Description

The aim of this course is for students to develop an understanding of Technology through a creative process that will equip them to participate in society as informed citizens. To do this we promote the use of both intellectual and practical skills to research and produce practical outcomes to address everyday problems.
During the year students will work within the context of personal security. Students will identify an issue that is relevant to them and by following the practice of Technologisis will design and develop a security devise that assist to solve their identified problem.
Recommended Prior Learning
Completion of a year 10 Materials Technology course would be an advantage.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$25 per term to cover materials.
Stationary List. A3 20 page clearfolder - 30 pages, A3 unlined refill pad, 1 Artline 200 black ink pen, coloured pencils.
